I can sleep now! This fan is GREAT. It looks nice, it is unobtrusive, ( which was important since I have a low ceiling), it is silent and it makes it cool enough that I can sleep! At last. I love it! Does this fan run clockwise as well as counter-clockwise?

The Casablanca Four Seasons III - Hugger 42 is a fan that spins both ways.

I've been looking at this fan as well as the Hunter 23866. This fan has 5 blades and the Hunter has 4. Most 42" fans seem to have 4 blades. Is there any advantage to the extra blade?

Thanks for your question. The Casablanca Four Seasons III - Hugger 42 has 5 blades, which will push more air around as opposed to a four blade fan; people also like the look of the uneven number of blades and some like it more symmetrical like the four blades.
