Convenient! Nice wall control. Great for controlling the fan separate from the light. I wish the buttons were a little larger, that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. The multiple plates for the background was a great touch. January 20, 2010

Can I use two TCS-WALL units to control the same fan/light at two room entrances?

The Craftmade TCS-WALL can only control one fan with one remote.

I have a Craftmade D52 BN fan. This fan has a built in light on the top of the fan. I also purchased a light kit to install on the bottom of the fan. What controllers do I need for the fan and the 2 lights? Would the wall control handle the fan and built in light and then could I use a chain to control the bottom light kit that I added? Do I have to have a handheld controller?

The Craftmade D52-TCS will work for your lights and includes the reciever for your light and the handheld remote.

Is the Craftmade TCS-WALL an equivalent replacement for a 10-year-old TCS-PLUS in-wall remote control? Does it have the four dip-switches and communicate over 304MHz radio frequency?

The Craftmade TCS-WALL is the replacement for the TCS-PLUS unit. It does have four dip-switches and operates over 304MHz.

Can we use ONLY the remote and not the wall control/

Although it's pictured with the hand held remote control, the Craftmade TCS-WALL is only the wall control and it does not come with a handheld.

How do you replace the 12v battery?

The Craftmade TCS-WALL needs to be unscrewed on the back plate and the round battery will then be accessible and you will be able to replace it.

if replacing the TCS-Wall, is it recommended to replace the "receiver" in the fan? If so, what is to be ordered?

If your remote is still showing the little red light when you press buttons then your receiver is out and you only need to replace that. If you are getting no red light then you should be fine to just replace the TCS-WALL. Thank you for your question.

Why is there an L1 and an L2. You only need one to turn the light on. The other buttons are for the fan.

The Craftmade TCS-WALL is L1 and L2 are for different lights, or different light settings.

Will this replace a switch that turns on our existing fan or does the switch have to stay on the on position all the time?

The Craftmade TCS-WALL will not replace the switch that turns on your fan. You will want to leave this switch in the on position to operate it with the remote. Otherwise you must turn the power on every time you want to use the remote.

Will the TCS-WALL replace an old Craftmade model - 7072X, 304.0 MHz wall control unit?

The TCS-Wall control is their universal control so it should work just fine for you.

Can I just change out the battery or do I need another wall remote unit

The 12V battery in the Craftmade TCS-WALL can be replaced. You just have to unscrew the back plate to gain access and replace it.

Does it have different color plates ?

No Craftmade TCS-WALL does not come in any other colors.

is this remote wall control hardwired to 120V or DC battery operated?

The Craftmade TCS-WALL is run with a 12V battery.

Do you have TCS fan/light control, model # 7066TX, frequency 304.OMHZ, voltage: 9 volt, battery S-006P, number 9004731? We have an elctric fan made by Craftsmade but the remote control will not turn the power on despite changing the battery.

Craftmade no longer makes the 7066TX. The TCS-REMOTE is the replacement for the 7066TX.

Will this replace the wall switch model 7072X?

This wall switch will replace the 7072X.

Yes, you can use both the remote and the wall control with the same fan.
