Handy remote
When we had the ceiling fan installed, the electrician told us we could have it either 1) work with a wall switch, or 2) work with a remote. We opted for the convenience of the remote, although we hang it on the wall so it really is almost a wall switch.

Why does the hunter 85095 only allow the fan to work with the light on?
This remote is only for the original. Also, that item number you gave me is not a valid number. If you are having issues with the light and fan working simultaneously you may want to check your wiring.

The Hunter 27187 would not work with the Hunter 23488 since that fan uses the 27184 remote.
