Product Details for the Maxim 87883

The CounterMax MX-LD Series LED discs mount easily under any cabinet and can link up to 30 discs without additional hardware using MXInterLink2. The energy efficient LED disc uses only 1.7 watts, requires no additional driver, and stays cool to the touch making it safer than both halogen and xenon. The warm white color lasts long and compliments any room.

How long is the cord between each ligt? Does it then just plug into the wall at one end?

A. The Maxim 87883 has two 18" MXInterlink2 Connector Cord and one 72" MXInterlink2 Power Cord. The power cord simply connects to an outlet.

Can you put these light on a dimmer switch circuit?

A. No, the Maxim 87883 is not recommended by the manufacturer to put on a dimmer switch.

Is there an option to hard wire the lights instead of using the plug in?

A. The Maxim 87883 is capable of being hardwired to a switch with the compatible box purchased seperately. The box is MX 87803.

This page says it includes the bulbs. The spec sheet says it does not. Which is it?

A. The Maxim 87883 does include the bulbs.

How many lights should I use? Is there a recommended light/distance for the counter length? Is it better to buy the 3 pack or the single light?

A. There is no distance requirement for the counter length for the Maxim 87883 light kit. It depends on your need to purchase 3 or 1 and we do have the Maxim 87881 single light available as well.

how do you turn the lights off and on

If I buy this 3 pack, then the 87881 single and then 87803, can my electrician install 4 lights, hard wired?

A. You could chain together the 87883 & 87881 as the 87881 comes with a connector to link them. Unfortunately these cannot be hardwired (even if you wanted to incorporate the 87803).
