Great Fan - Lighting Could Be Better The fan is a little complex to install, but worth the effort. It looks great, and works almost completely silently. It starts up and stops very smoothly, and is mostly unnoticeable while it moves enough air to make our underventilated house feel cool. I bought a second one for another room! It's also very energy efficient compared to AC. I have only two criticisms: the downlight is not that bright compared to the multi-bulb incandescent lights I had in the same fixture positions, and the lighting dimmer control doesn't allow you to easily turn the light up and down like a regular dimmer. It goes all the way to full on, then works it's way back down to the dimmest setting, before ramping up again. Despite the control layout (which appears to have an up and down control), you can't easily turn the light up and down. Still good enough to make me buy a second one, however! I recommend this product. September 3, 2008

How do I change fan rotation on Minka Aire Acero? My receiver went bad & I just purchased WC223 replacement .

The MinkaAire Acero 3 does have the reverse fan mode. To do this have the fan running in low power and hit the reverse button on the remote provided. If for whatever reason there is no remote and the fan is hardwired controlled manually from the wall then the reverse mode could not be activated.

How do I manually change the blade rotation on the MinkaAire Acero?

The MinkaAire Acero does include a wall mounted control panel.

The MinkaAire Acero can be controlled with 1 remote as long as they both have the same receiver.

The MinkaAire Acero can't be mounted as a low ceiling fan. However the F518 or F519 would meet your requirements.

Can this fan be operated with a three way switch?

The MinkaAire Acero is compatible with the Minka Wall Switches and Remotes. Please take a look at the RC212.

Can you purchase the light kit separately if you wanted an additional ceiling light in the same room as the fan?

Unfortunately the MinkaAire Acero does not have a separate light kit available.

I purchased this fan, but can't use the switch that was included with it because we already have a switch on the wall. How can I control the fan and light separately? I assumed it would have a pull chain.

The MinkaAire Acero is meant to work with the wall control that came with the the fan. The only other way to work the fan without the wall control would be to purchase the Minka Aire RC212 - Hand Held Remote.

The MinkaAire Acero features the WC212 wall control, which will allow you to operate the lights independently.

how much air does this fan move compared to a 5 blade fan.

The MinkaAire Acero on it's high speed has a volumetric flow of 6100 CFM. In comparison, the MinkaAire Como 5 Blade 54" Ceiling Fan on it's high speed has a volumetric flow of 5300 CFM.

Is it possible to replace the halogen bulb with a more efficient CFL or LED?

You would just need to make sure they have the same base which with these bulbs would not be hard at all.
