Very Good
Hung on outside deck with a small rain cover as additional protection. An easy installation although it was an after thought to buy the remote "RC223".

where do you purchase the light kit for this ceiling fan?
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 is able to be used with almost all MinkaAire Light kits found on our site.
Are there lighting kits available for this model?
Yes, any of Minka's universal light kits will work on the MinkaAire Sundance 42.
Can this be mounted on a slated ceiling and do you need any additional parts
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 needs the MA A245 to use the fan on a angle up to 45 degrees.
I am concerned about the weather. Will this fan work well mounted in a pergola, i.e., no protective covering (roof)
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 is certified for wet outdoor locations.
What is overall height from ceiling of this fan with the 3 1/2" downrod?
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 ceiling fan is 12.25" in height with a 3 1/2" downrod.
Are the blades wood?
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 Ceiling Fan has stainless steel hardware with alll-weathered construction. It is not constructed of solid wood.
Are the motor housings the same size diameter for both the 42" and the 52"?
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 and the MinkaAire Sundance 52 motor housings both have the same diameter of 153 mm.
I understand that this model does not work with remote; however can it be used with a wall wired remote switch
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 is compatible with a remote. It does not have a wall control though. Reason why outdoor fans don't show a wall control option is because it is not rated for outdoor use. You can use model MinkaAire RC212. This remote is compatible with your unit.
Is this operated by a light switch or by a pull chain?
The MinkaAire Sundance 42 is a hardwired fixture so it will need to be operated by a switch, but you can change fan speeds with the pull chain.
Can a light kit be added to this fan?
Yes, this fan is light kit adaptable.
Do I have to have a downrod or can this be flush against the ceiling which is low?
This can be flush mounted with the low ceiling adapter, item A180.
