handy device
I bouht this remote wall switch with the new ceiling fan from Lighting Direct. The remote works great once installed but that was easier said than done. It seems that this remote is too large in height to install in some steel wall boxes. I had to grind the steel wall box with Dremil Tool grinder so the remote would fit the box. Newer plastic boxes may not be an issue.

Works with our Concept II's
We bought a pair of these to have permanent wall controls for the Minka Aire Concept II fans in our bedrooms. It's significantly smaller than the handheld remote control that comes with the Minka Aire fans (as it is designed to fit in a Decora-style lightswitch cover), but otherwise works essentially the same way. It's a little cheesy looking and you have to show guests how it works before they can figure it out, but it definitely works.

Is this the same piece for the traditional gyro?what is the difference between wc212 and wc223?I have an Acero F601 and an F518. Both run with an UC-9051 wall transmitter and an UC-7067RC receiver. Can I replace my old wall transmitter with the WC212?Just bought a replacement wc212 and P001022500 receiver for my Minka Aire Artemis fan followed the installation instructions but fan won't work I have three switches in this room is the wall control suppose to take up one space or two and how do I know when the wall controls and receiver are synced?Bought wc212 and p001022500 followed installation instructions not sure if wall control should take up two wall switches or one and how do I know if the receiver and control are synced ?how do I wire thisfor remote wc212 there a two black wires both say not to connect to the white ground wire but wiring in my wall is one black one white how do I connectI'd like to mount a Gyro 42" where a light on a three way switch was originally intended to go. What accomodations do i I have to make for the WC212? Is it wireless, low voltage or go in place of a regular wall switch ?is this a universal remote that will interface with other manuf?what is correct remote system for model F402-orb 42" gyroIs this the right switch for a Model F602 Gyro Fan?I recently bought the WC212 as a replacement wall remote for my ceiling fan model AC-552(F601). However, the reciever and transmitter frequency setting mechinisms don't match. What is the correct wall unit model number I should order?A. To determine what wall control you will need you want to look at your exhisting control. The led light will be either red or green. If it is green you need model WC212, if it is red you need model WC210. Minka happens to sell two types of these wall controls but they are specific to the receiver you are trying to use them with. If used with a MinkaAire Concept II fan with light, can the WC212 turn the light off and on without also turning on the fan?Do I have to buy a remote and a receiver?Do I need two units if I have two fans in same room and want to control with one switchDoes WC212 include a receiver? Will this control work with MinkaAire F648?What is the procedure for switching frequencies on the receiver units when you are encountering interference?A. You are going to have to remove cover from wall and there should be 4 switches on the back, set them in any sequence and then on the fan there is a receiver which looks like this: http://www.lightingdirect.com/tommy-bahama-tbsw03-electronic-fan-control-from-the-tommy-bahama-receiver-collection/p986537 Set the switches on this to that same frequence.
